Inspired by the story of two brothers, Douglas Road Elementary’s distinctive pirate themed playground was designed to bring children of all abilities together through play. Custom panels and leeward sails create the look of a classic ship, while ramping from ground level to the top deck ensures every child can join the adventure. This site is also recognized as a National Demonstration Site for inclusive play.
