There are 4 main factors to consider when planning a playground space: The overall size of the site, the age of the intended users, the overall projected number of users, and the types of activities. Be sure to download our FREE INFOGRAPHIC that outlines the playground planning roadmap that will help breakdown the process - the surfacing, freight, and installation considerations, and how to best plan your budget.
Absolutely! But let’s talk about what “custom” means. We offer pre-designed structures that you can see on our website and catalog. These structures are ordered as shown. We can also design a custom structure using existing products that will fit within your specific space and budget. On some occasions, we can also do “specials”: a play structure utilizing standard equipment and special products we create just for you, such as a panel with custom text or a unique climber themed after your community history or some other unique event.
Consider the age group and abilities of the children who will be using your equipment. Also consider items you know you want or do not want on your play structure. Do you want lots of slides for the kids or do you want overhead activities to develop upper body strength? Any direction you can give us on the front end will help us design the perfect play system for you in a timely manner. A great way to find out what the kids want is to ask them! Involve them in the design process and they are likely to take ownership of the project before, during, and long after it is finished.
