Blueprint for Play
The BluePrint for Play toolkit’s objective is to bring communities together in the creation of playgrounds. Designed as five separate guidebooks: Plan It, Fund It, Design It, Build It and Sustain It - this toolkit will help communities customize resources to meet specific needs.
This valuable resource, composed by our parent company, PlayCore, is designed to help communities learn about playground surfacing. Strong Foundations details surfacing standards and criteria, universal design, surfacing types, ways to add play value, reference charts, and a sample inspection checklist.
Words on Play
Learn about evidence-based benefits of play from highly respected play scholars–our friends, mentors, and partners. Ask your recreation consultant about Words On Play and additional continuing education opportunities to learn more about the value of play in your community.
The Science of Play
PlayCore partnered with Dr. Stuart Brown from the National Institute for Play to further the advancement of play and help our world understand the critical importance of participating in play throughout life.
